The Travelling Tuffeteer made an unexpected visit to Kernow Mills on Saturday to offer tuffets (the eco-friendly wool cushions) for sale at the new farmers market that is present every Saturday - yes - even christmas eve!! Check out the Tuffet Stock Room on this blog!!
Kernow mills is designed as an old mill, complete with a working water wheel.
Kernow Mill (Cornwall) - Review - Cornish Fayre in a Mill!

The mill supports a variety of locally made businesses with products ranging from cakes and pies, ice cream, chutneys, Cornish beers and cider and now supports the local Cornish Guild of Smallholders (CGOS) that is situated in a marquee conveniently located at the side door!!
The shop also has an Edinburgh Woollen mill fashion section, an array of outdoor clothing and a superb shoe and boot section!  In fact there is not a lot that cannot be bought here although a few items can be a little pricey .............. but not all by any means!!

Kernow Mill also provides a warm and friendly cafe where you can sit and comtemplate your purchases whilst reflecting on the hardness of the wooden chairs supplied - Hark! I hear a wonderful thought drop into your minds - downstairs in the Farmers Market Marquee you will find there displayed an array of 'Bottom Heaven' - tuffets for your delectation, all wool is the natural colour woven  in a wonderful blend of greys, browns and of course natural white. What more could be desired to enjoy those perfect relaxation moments - tea and tuffet!
Textures differ according to taste and potential useage - hardwearing beautiful Herdwick wool from Bodmin moor through to the sensationally soft Jacobs wool designed more for indoors but equally useful in the outdoor environment the choice will be yours - perhaps you would like your own colour combination lovingly put together to fit a conservatory bench or designer log in the garden?
Any such queries please don't hesitate to contact the tuffeteer by e.mail at: tuffets@hotmail.co.uk

The Travelling Tuffeteer is giving you the opportunity to buy Tuffets at Lostwithiel Produce Market

The Travelling Tuffeteer is over the moon as there is now an opportunity for you to come and view and 'bottom' test a range of the deliciously sheepy, eco-friendly rustic tuffets. What better place  to buy a christmas gift such as the tuffet that is original, practical, luxurious and local?

The Lostwithiel Local Produce Market  that is held  at the Lostwithiel Community Centre  is run by the Cornish Guild of Smallholders. The market has been running since 1998 and has gone from strength to strength with  goods ranging from home-grown vegetables, fruit and fruit juices, plants, flowers, herbs; Local cheeses to excite the palate, chutneys, jams, marmalades, pickles and so much more!!!! Bread, cakes, savouries, free range meat, poultry, fish and eggs, home made sausages, ham, and bacon - I'm so excited about this absolute fest of local Cornish goods and there is more ...................... Home-made cornish cottage crafts plus a wonderfully friendly atmosphere!! Be there or miss one of the best places in Cornwall to enjoy local produce.
So why is this market so unique?? All goods on sale at the market have been produced within a 35 mile radius of Lostwithiel and it is only the producers themselves that are allowed to sell at Lostwithiel Market - no goods are sold by middlemen. This allows customers to find out details about the method of production, and purchase at a fair price with no middlemen taking advantage of local producers!

So come along on Friday 11th at 10.00am for the chance to find 'bottom heaven for that perfect christmas gift - Cornish hand-made tuffets, luxury, sustainability and suitable for vegetarian use!!
