Spring is hiding just below the surface just bursting withthe life of sleepy bulbs and blooms whilst waiting for the loving care of the gardener of the house. The gardener will spend many hours on bended knees which in time could become tired and sore but this could all be avoided with the loving caress of a kneeler tuffet. The Tuffeteer is extremely pleased to be offering eco-friendly gifts in the form of the wool seat pads know as tuffets at the Lostwithiel Market for the last time in 2011. The slogan 'Bottom Heaven since 2011' is to move into the realms of 'past time' year status - in two weeks we move into 2012 and The Tuffeteer will have a second year status - wow, still smiling ( and who wouldn't be when delighting in the sumptuous deliciously sheepy tuffet comfort ) still busy and very forward thinking as we bound forward into the New Year!
Many new ideas are to be brought to fruition to provide you all with beneficial wool products designed to bring you comfort, warmth, pleasure and a little piece of sheepy countryside!

The New Year will take the Tuffeteer to many a festival, running rural workshops for children and demonstrations whilst displaying the best that tuffets can offer, throughout the lovely UK!
Unfortunately there is no time left for orders to reach their destinations and soothe weary buttocks before christmas but do not fear as 2012 will soon be here for you to purchase your very own tuffet or one for your best friend, family member or someone so random that it just makes you feel good to share the woolly delights!

(one can tell by the expression on Santa above that he is probably sitting on a tuffet, experiencing true 'bottom heaven' for the first time!) The Travelling Tuffeteer made an unexpected visit to Kernow Mills on Saturday to offer tuffets (the eco-friendly wool cushions) for sale at the new farmers market that is present every Saturday - yes - even christmas eve!! Check out the Tuffet Stock Room on this blog!!
Kernow mills is designed as an old mill, complete with a working water wheel.

The mill supports a variety of locally made businesses with products ranging from cakes and pies, ice cream, chutneys, Cornish beers and cider and now supports the local Cornish Guild of Smallholders (CGOS) that is situated in a marquee conveniently located at the side door!!
The shop also has an Edinburgh Woollen mill fashion section, an array of outdoor clothing and a superb shoe and boot section!  In fact there is not a lot that cannot be bought here although a few items can be a little pricey .............. but not all by any means!!

Kernow Mill also provides a warm and friendly cafe where you can sit and comtemplate your purchases whilst reflecting on the hardness of the wooden chairs supplied - Hark! I hear a wonderful thought drop into your minds - downstairs in the Farmers Market Marquee you will find there displayed an array of 'Bottom Heaven' - tuffets for your delectation, all wool is the natural colour woven  in a wonderful blend of greys, browns and of course natural white. What more could be desired to enjoy those perfect relaxation moments - tea and tuffet!
Textures differ according to taste and potential useage - hardwearing beautiful Herdwick wool from Bodmin moor through to the sensationally soft Jacobs wool designed more for indoors but equally useful in the outdoor environment the choice will be yours - perhaps you would like your own colour combination lovingly put together to fit a conservatory bench or designer log in the garden?
